Americans for Prosperity (AFP) has initiated a $20 million nationwide campaign urging Congress to renew the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), originally enacted during President Trump’s administration. This effort, described as the largest by a conservative group to support Trump’s second-term legislative agenda, includes an advertising blitz across all 50 states. The campaign aims to rally Americans against potential tax increases.

Scott Simon, AFP-LA State Director, emphasized the urgency of the situation: “This year, Congress is facing a countdown to a crisis that threatens family budgets nationwide. If Congress fails to renew the TCJA, Louisianians will be left paying $2,048 more in taxes.” He further warned about the negative impact on local businesses and job losses.

Simon stated, “If we are going to reignite the American Dream, we need to start with protecting the progress we made with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.” He also highlighted AFP’s collaboration with the Trump Administration to prevent significant tax hikes for Louisianians.

The Protect Prosperity campaign plans extensive outreach efforts in all states. It seeks to amplify voices supporting pro-growth tax cuts while holding accountable those opposing them. The initiative includes media engagement and lobbying activities such as meetings with Congressional offices and events involving activists and job creators.

In previous years, AFP reached nearly 30 million voters through similar campaigns. This year’s strategy involves mobilizing grassroots support through calls, community phone banks, and door-to-door contacts. More information on joining this movement can be found at ProtectProsperity.com.
