Americans for Prosperity (AFP) has initiated a $20 million nationwide campaign urging Congress to renew the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), initially enacted under President Trump. This campaign, which is AFP’s largest effort in support of Trump’s second-term legislative agenda, aims to prevent potential tax increases that could affect American families.

Tony West, AFP-Georgia State Director, emphasized the urgency of the situation: “This year, Congress is facing a countdown to a crisis that threatens family budgets nationwide. If Congress fails to renew the TCJA, Georgians will be left paying over $2,580 more in taxes.” He added that the expiration of these tax cuts could lead to increased financial burdens on local businesses and result in significant job losses in Georgia.

West further stated, “If we are going to reignite the American Dream, we need to start with protecting the progress we made with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.”

The Protect Prosperity campaign will engage voters across all 50 states through various outreach methods. The initiative includes media engagement strategies and lobbying efforts aimed at influencing Congressional decisions. AFP plans to conduct over 1,000 meetings with Congressional offices and organize events involving activists and Members of Congress.

Through previous campaigns in 2023 and 2024, AFP reached nearly 30 million voters. This year’s campaign intends to maintain momentum by mobilizing grassroots support for pro-growth tax reform.
