The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) has announced the successful redesignation of its Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD). This recognition underscores CSN’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education and training in cybersecurity.

The redesignation was formally acknowledged during the CAE Designation Ceremony at the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Conference on June 5, 2024. Dean Dr. Michael Spangler was one of three invited speakers at the ceremony, highlighting the expertise and dedication that characterize CSN’s program.

“This redesignation reaffirms our commitment to excellence in cybersecurity education and our role in preparing the next generation of cyber defense professionals,” a CSN representative stated. The institution also expressed gratitude to its community for their efforts in achieving this milestone.
