Faculty and staff at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) participated in their first annual basketball tournament on January 23. The event took place at the Sports Complex on CSN’s North Las Vegas Campus, featuring seven teams and 33 players.

The teams included a mix of faculty, staff, and student affairs professionals with creative names such as Team Drop the Mic, Team Radicak Squad, Team Pick-Up Pros, Team Imminent Domain, Team Tune Squad, Team Rim Warriors, and Team MonStars.

After several competitive games, Team Rim Warriors emerged victorious with the gold medal. “Team Radicak Squad put up an impressive fight to claim silver,” while “Team MonStars secured bronze,” demonstrating the Athletics department’s skills on the court.

Two athletes from CSN’s basketball team officiated the matches to ensure fair play. Director of Athletics Yvonne Wade provided snacks and refreshments for both players and spectators.

The success of this inaugural event raises anticipation for next year’s tournament.
