The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is set to host a series of career preparation events this spring. The initiative aims to assist students in advancing their career goals, whether they are starting out or already pursuing their dream jobs.

One of the key offerings is “Power Up with Handshake,” an event designed to familiarize students with CSN’s job board platform. This session will take place at the Charleston Campus Student Union Lobby, beginning on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. Students can attend without prior registration.

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, students can attend “Warm Up for the Career Fair” at the same location. The event promises tips for impressing recruiters while enjoying hot chocolate and s’mores.

Another opportunity is available at the North Las Vegas Campus Student Union Lobby with “Level Up Your Career Game.” Starting Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11 a.m., these tabling events will provide information about Handshake and Career Services.

The “Career Prep & Sip” event will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Henderson Campus C Building Patio. Attendees can expect games and snacks alongside career advice.

For those seeking resume and networking guidance while enjoying pizza and popcorn, “Career Edition: Pizza, Popcorn & Pro Tips” is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025. It will be hosted in the North Las Vegas Campus June Whitley Lounge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The main highlight of this lineup is the CSN Spring 2025 Career Fair on Wednesday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located in the Charleston Campus Student Union Ballrooms. Students are encouraged to register online beforehand.

CSN emphasizes that these events are crafted to empower students in achieving their career aspirations. For more details or inquiries about any of these events, students can contact CSN Career Services via email at career.services@csn.edu.
