In honor of Deaf Awareness Month, the documentary “Sign the Show,” directed and produced by Cat Brewer, a full-time faculty member in CSN’s Communication Department, is being highlighted. The multi-award-winning film addresses the critical issue of accessibility in entertainment for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

Streaming on platforms such as Tubi, AppleTV, Google Play, and YouTube, “Sign the Show” features stars like Kelly Clarkson, André 3000, D.L. Hughley, and Nyle DiMarco. The documentary brings significant attention to the importance of inclusion within the entertainment industry.

Brewer’s work explores the challenges faced by Deaf individuals in accessing entertainment and highlights efforts to overcome these barriers. The film celebrates Deaf culture and advocates for inclusivity as a standard practice rather than an exception.
