The American Film Market (AFM) recently witnessed notable participation from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), with students and faculty making a significant impression. Arianna Martinez, an associate producer on the film “Being Adolph Gasser,” continued her success streak at the event. She had previously won Best Film at the CSN Short Film Showcase, securing over $5,000 in prizes, and holds three Student Production Emmy Awards.

Professor John Aliano from CSN’s Videography & Film Program shared his thoughts on the experience: “It was amazing to see so many familiar faces—past students, teachers, and new ones,” he said. “There’s so much to learn in this world, and it was inspiring to have a laugh, open a fortune cookie, and see the words ‘Make your dreams a reality.’ That’s filmmaking in a nutshell.”

AFM serves as an important platform where aspiring filmmakers can start turning their dreams into reality. The presence of CSN students and faculty underscores the college’s commitment to preparing future filmmakers for successful careers in the industry.
