A separate application from Douglas County to update the South Shore Area Plan has been initiated. However, elements of the update that included a special subdistrict for a medical facility on the Barton property, formerly known as Lakeside Inn and Casino, have been removed from the application while additional documents are prepared.

Residents and interested parties can stay informed about the South Shore Area Plan amendment process by visiting the Douglas County website.
