The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Administrative Office of the Courts have been recognized with an international award for their joint efforts to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. The partnership was honored by the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA) with its 2018 Merit Award.

The DMV and Justice Courts collaborated to create a new system that allows electronic submission of court documents, reducing paperwork and processing times. “We are thrilled to receive this recognition from IACA,” said DMV Director Terri L. Albertson. She emphasized that the project represents a significant step forward in modernizing services for Nevada residents.

Albertson credited her team and the courts for their hard work in implementing this innovative solution. “Our collaboration with the Justice Courts has been instrumental in improving service delivery,” she stated.

The IACA is an organization dedicated to promoting excellence in business registration and filing systems worldwide. Its Merit Award recognizes outstanding projects that demonstrate innovation, efficiency, and customer service.

This accolade highlights Nevada’s commitment to leveraging technology for better public service outcomes. The electronic submission system is expected to serve as a model for similar initiatives across other states.
