The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) has announced the appointment of Jennifer McGrath to the Board of Regents, representing District 2. This appointment was made by Governor Joe Lombardo following the passing of Dr. Lois Tarkanian in November 2024.

Jennifer McGrath brings over two decades of experience as a litigator to her new role on the Board. Her expertise is expected to offer a unique perspective on higher education governance within the state.

Board of Regents Chair Amy J. Carvalho expressed support for McGrath’s appointment, stating, “The Board welcomes Jennifer McGrath as we continue our work on behalf of Nevada’s students and the entire NSHE community.”

Chancellor Patricia Charlton also welcomed McGrath, saying, “We look forward to working with Jennifer McGrath as she begins her service on the Board. Her experience will contribute to the important discussions shaping the future of higher education in Nevada.”
