Reach for the Stars Gala aims to support future workforce

The Reach for the Stars Gala, scheduled for June 27, 2024, offers an evening where elegance meets the promise of tomorrow. The event features custom cocktails, entertainment, and dining with décor that bridges past and future eras.

The gala is supported by sponsors including Wells Fargo, Briggs Electric, Metcalf Builders, Carson Tahoe Health, Southwest Gas, Quick Space, Barb D’Anneo, Greater Nevada Credit Union, Comstock Inc., Downtown Vision, America First Credit Union, Classic Finishes, Fastenal, and Western Environments. Sponsorship opportunities range from $1,000 to $7,500.

Tickets are available at $200 per person or $380 per couple. A table of eight can be reserved for $1,500. All contributions support workforce development initiatives.

WNC Foundation’s mission focuses on fostering academic success in Nevada through scholarships and various programs. Notable initiatives include the Nursing and Allied Health program.

University of Alaska Southeast Chancellor Dr. Aparna Palmer has been named to represent Alaska on the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education following her appointment by Governor Mike Dunleavy. The commission guides regional higher education strategy across multiple western states.
