Reuben D’Silva will deliver the keynote address at the College of Southern Nevada’s commencement ceremony for the class of 2024. His journey from Mumbai, India, to becoming a U.S. Marine and an educator in the Clark County School District is marked by perseverance and dedication.

D’Silva’s commitment to education is evident through his roles as a teacher and mentor. He has faced challenges, including injuries sustained during service in Iraq, yet his resolve remains strong. His academic path took him from the College of Southern Nevada to institutions like the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University before returning to Las Vegas to teach.

At Rancho High School, D’Silva influences students beyond academics. His involvement in community organizations and civic engagement highlights his dedication to guiding future generations.
