The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced extended restrictions on Blue Diamond Road and Interstate 15 (I-15) as part of the ongoing I-15 South Project. These traffic control measures are necessary for barrier rail installation, paving, and striping operations.
From 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. nightly on Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17:
- The Blue Diamond Road on-ramp to northbound I-15 will be closed.
- The eastbound Blue Diamond Road flyover ramp to northbound I-15 will also be closed.
Drivers will be detoured via Las Vegas Boulevard to northbound I-15.
On Thursday, July 18 from 8:00 p.m. to Friday, July 19 at 5:00 a.m.:
- Southbound I-15 will be reduced to two lanes from eastbound I-215 to Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
Additionally, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. nightly through Friday, July 19:
- Northbound I-15 will be reduced to one lane between Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Warm Springs Road.
This work is part of an $86 million project aimed at improving nearly nine miles of I-15 between Sloan Road and Warm Springs Road. More information about the project can be found at www.dot.nv.gov/i15SouthProject.
The speed limit through the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through these areas and consider alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze to keep the public informed about planned highway restrictions. Construction schedules may change due to weather or other factors.
