The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced upcoming lane restrictions on State Route 169 (SR-169) in Moapa Valley. These restrictions will involve intermittent closures of one lane in a specified direction between I-15 and Bowman Road. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers, and motorists should expect delays during these periods.

Intermittent lane restrictions are scheduled nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., starting Sunday, July 21, through Thursday, July 25, for paving and striping operations. Additionally, daily intermittent lane restrictions will occur from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, July 22, until Friday, August 2, for the installation of guardrails, ground-mounted signs, and permanent striping.

The ongoing SR-169 project aims to enhance shoulder width and incorporate a dedicated truck climbing lane.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through work zones and consider alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. Construction schedules may change due to weather or other factors.
