Lane closures and travel delays will commence on Monday, July 29, for weather-related repairs on small sections of State Route 361 in Mineral County. The affected areas are between Luning and Gabbs, specifically from milepost 5 to 7 and milepost 19.

The project involves permanent repairs following damage caused by Hurricane Hilary and subsequent monsoons. The scope of work includes road reconstruction, shouldering, and armoring slopes.

Construction is scheduled to begin on July 29 and is expected to last approximately two months. Traffic control measures will include single-lane closures on weekdays, with flaggers and a pilot car alternating traffic directions. Drivers should anticipate delays of up to 30 minutes.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through work zones and consider alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze to provide the public with information about planned highway restrictions. The schedule may change due to weather or other factors.
