The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced upcoming lane restrictions on Interstate 15 (I-15) northeast of Las Vegas. The traffic control measures are necessary to place temporary barrier rails, install drainage pipes and culverts, conduct roadway excavation, and paving. Some of these restrictions will overlap between daytime and nighttime hours.
From Sunday through Wednesday, July 28 to August 29, nightly lane reductions will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with both northbound and southbound I-15 reduced to one lane between Ute (Exit 80) and Byron (Exit 84).
Additionally, from Monday, July 29 through Thursday, August 1, lane reductions will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting the same stretch of I-15.
Daily lane reductions are also scheduled from Tuesday through Thursday, July 30 to August 15, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., intermittently reducing I-15 to one lane in both directions between Ute (Exit 80) and Byron (Exit 84).
Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through work zones and consider alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
