The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced ongoing daytime lane closures on SR-361 near the community of Gabbs in rural Nye County. The closures are necessary to construct shoulder armoring and reconstruct pavement in several areas.
From July 29 to September 20, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., SR-361 will be reduced in areas between mile markers (MM) 5 and MM 20. One direction will be closed at a time, with pilot car operations present to guide traffic. Drivers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during construction.
Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through work zones and take alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT collaborates with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other factors.
