The Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles has announced the availability of $750,000 in grant funding for off-highway vehicle (OHV) projects. Applications are due by November 17, 2024, with grants to be awarded on December 13, 2024.

The commission supports various OHV-related initiatives across the state each year. These initiatives aim to enhance safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences on Nevada's extensive OHV trail network. The grant program is financed through Nevada's OHV registration fees and can be used for several purposes including trail planning, maintenance, land acquisitions, mapping, signage, law enforcement, education, safety training, and resource conservation.

Previous projects funded by the commission include developments in trailhead infrastructure in Mineral County, Tonopah, and Mesquite. Additionally, funds have supported educational programs with Tread Lightly! and provided equipment for OHV law enforcement in Storey County.
