The College of Southern Nevada's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Department is offering hands-on emergency equipment training. The event is scheduled for Monday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Henderson Campus Student Union, Room 130.
Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with essential lifesaving tools such as a fire extinguisher simulator, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and a Stop-the-Bleed Kit. The training will allow attendees to rotate through different stations at their own pace, learning how to manage emergency situations effectively.
The skills taught during this session include extinguishing fires, using an AED during cardiac arrest, and stopping life-threatening bleeding. Additionally, participants will learn about the locations of this equipment on campus.
For more information or questions regarding the training, individuals can contact EHS at ehs@csn.edu.
