There are only a few days left for sports enthusiasts to purchase tickets for the Nevada Dream Tag raffle. Tickets will be available until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.
The Nevada Dream Tag Program offers both resident and nonresident sportsmen the opportunity for a unique hunting experience while supporting wildlife habitat conservation in Nevada. Winners of the Dream Tag can hunt anywhere in the state under the regulations set by the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commission, with certain restrictions on Desert Bighorn Sheep. The tags resemble similar "hunt of a lifetime" tags found in other western states.
This year's raffle includes tags for elk, desert bighorn sheep, antelope, and mule deer. Raffle tickets are priced at $5 each, with no limit on the number of tickets one can purchase per species. Tickets are available online at shop.nvdreamtag.org.
Funds from ticket sales directly support wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Over the past two decades, wildfires have severely impacted millions of acres of vital habitat in Nevada. To date, more than $3.5 million has been donated through this program to support habitat protection and restoration projects. These funds have helped secure an estimated $21 million in additional project funding.
