United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has introduced the Deseret Industries Move-In Voucher Program, coinciding with National Homelessness Awareness Month. The program aims to support individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness by providing essential move-in assistance.

The initiative offers vouchers that can be used at two Deseret Industries locations in Las Vegas: W Craig Road in North Las Vegas and East Flamingo Road at Boulder Highway. In addition to the vouchers, recipients receive 'move-in kits' containing necessary items like bathroom toiletries, cleaning supplies, and kitchen/dining essentials. These kits are assembled by volunteers and stored with Clark County Social Services. UWSN is seeking corporate partners interested in building these kits and invites them to reach out via volunteer@uwsn.org for further details.

The program involves several nonprofit organizations and agency teams:

- Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada

- Chicanos por la Causa Nevada

- Clark County Social Services

- HELP of Southern Nevada

- HopeLink of Southern Nevada

- Jewish Family Service Agency

- Nevada Partners

- Southern Nevada CHIPs

- St. Jude’s Ranch for Children

- The Just One Project

- The Salvation Army Southern Nevada

Funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the program is administered by UWSN in collaboration with Clark County Social Service and various nonprofits associated with Operation HOME! initiative and CCSS Youth and Family Programs.
