Nevada approves tax abatements for two companies creating nearly 300 jobs

The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has approved tax abatements totaling $35,321,637 for two companies. These companies are expected to create 272 jobs within the next two years, with an average hourly wage of $41.26. The job count is projected to increase to 290 in five years. Over a decade, these businesses will invest $286,554,222 in capital equipment and generate $56,495,755 in new tax revenues.

Governor Joe Lombardo stated, “Supporting Nevada’s economic growth is a top priority of my administration, and we remain dedicated to cultivating a robust business climate that generates new investment and opportunity.” He added that the newly announced jobs would contribute to the state's ongoing economic development efforts.

Ingenia Chartam, LLC dba Crossroads Paper plans to establish a recycling operation in Humboldt County. Approved for $33,581,347 in tax abatements, it aims to create 108 jobs initially and expand to 126 jobs over five years. The company will invest $271,578,900 in capital equipment during its first two years and expects to produce $43,175,540 in new tax revenue over ten years.

Capital Mining Services is set to open operations under Capital USA in Elko County. This facility will focus on geochemical analysis and mine drilling operations. It received approval for $1,740,290 in tax abatements and plans to create 164 jobs within five years at an average wage of $38.92 per hour. The company will invest $14,975,322 initially and generate an estimated $13,320,215 in new tax revenue over ten years.
