Women in Construction Week, observed from March 3 to 9, will highlight the contributions of women to the construction industry. This year's theme, "Keys to the Future," focuses on celebrating the strength and knowledge of women who play a crucial role in shaping the industry's future.
The Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) of the Division of Industrial Relations will host a free seminar on Monday, March 4. The event will take place at 3360 W. Sahara Avenue, Suite 100, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Participants will have an opportunity to gain professional insights from successful women working in construction. The seminar aims to provide guidance on succeeding in construction and other male-dominated industries while offering information about rights, protections, and available resources.
Guest speakers from organizations such as NAWIC, Nevada Women in Trades, ASSP Women in Safety Excellence, and Penta will address various significant topics. Attendees will also have a chance to meet with representatives from OSHA & SCATS.
