The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Financial Aid Office is organizing two events aimed at helping students manage and secure their financial aid effectively. The sessions focus on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The SAP information sessions are designed to educate students about maintaining eligibility for financial aid. Attendees will learn about the requirements for SAP, receive tips on staying eligible, and explore options available if they face suspension or warning. These sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Charleston Campus, Room C227
- Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Henderson Campus, Room C108
- Thursday, Nov. 21 at North Las Vegas Campus, Room N203
Each session runs from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additionally, CSN is hosting FAFSA workshops to prepare students for the upcoming 2025-26 application cycle. The FAFSA is a critical tool that allows more than 80% of new CSN students to access federal aid. Workshops will offer hands-on assistance with the application process and are open to both students and parents.
These workshops will take place on:
- Dec. 17 at Charleston Campus, Building C, Room 114
- Dec. 18 at Henderson Campus, Building C, Room 117
- Dec. 19 at North Las Vegas Campus, Building C, Room 1681
Workshops also run from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
CSN encourages participants to come prepared with questions and necessary documents to make the most of these opportunities.
