The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is set to host the Power Up Nevada Summit on December 3-4, 2024. The event is organized by the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans in partnership with Discovery Education. It aims to promote educational and economic opportunities for Black communities.
The summit will gather thought leaders, policymakers, educators, and community members for discussions and workshops focused on equity and excellence in education and economic development. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, hear from national leaders through keynote speeches, and network with peers who share a common vision.
The event targets Black students, families, community advocates, educators, and stakeholders at various levels. It provides an opportunity for students seeking guidance, professionals aiming to make an impact, or community leaders striving for change to gain insights and connections.
The summit will be held at CSN’s Charleston Campus. Registration is required due to limited seating. Interested individuals are encouraged to register promptly and share the event using the hashtag #PowerUpNV.
