Ryan Jeffery, senior managing director at gener8tor, has announced the launch of the Electrify Nevada Accelerator. "Our newest sustainability program aims to cultivate a platform that connects innovative founders with the capital, expertise, and resources needed to address our most pressing climate challenges. Nevada’s unique energy landscape makes it the ideal location to build tomorrow’s breakthrough clean technologies," he stated.

The accelerator will support startups working on advanced energy and industry efficiency technologies, next-generation battery development, closed-loop lithium systems, sustainable energy solutions, and clean technology supply chain innovations. These focus areas are seen as critical for technological advancement and economic growth within Nevada's growing clean energy sector.

Zach Miles from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), commented on their involvement: “UNLV is proud to partner in this initiative that aligns perfectly with our research expertise in energy technology and our commitment to sustainability. This collaboration will create new opportunities for innovation and economic growth in our state.”

The program leverages Nevada's strategic advantages such as its mineral resources, expanding tech industry, and dedication to renewable energy. Through this initiative, Nevada seeks to become a leading hub for energy technology innovation.

Applications for the accelerator are open until January 12, 2025. The first cohort will begin in February 2025. Founders interested in sustainable energy solutions are encouraged to apply by visiting www.gener8tor.com/nevada.
