Raleigh, North Carolina—Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) has extended congratulations to its endorsed candidates following their victories in the recent elections.

State Senators Bobby Hanig (SD-01), Buck Newton (SD-04), Michael Lee (SD-07), Danny Britt (SD-24), and Paul Newton (SD-34) secured reelection. Dana Caudill Jones (SD-31) won her first term in the North Carolina State Senate.

In the North Carolina House of Representatives, State Representatives Allen Chesser (HD-25), Erin Pare (HD-37), Jarrod Lowery (HD-47), Alan Branson (HD-59), Dennis Riddell (HD-64), Jeff Zenger (HD-74), and Tricia Cotham (HD-105) were reelected. They will be joined by newcomers Mike Schietzelt (HD-35) and Cody Honeycutt (HD-67).

AFP-NC also endorsed Ashlee Adams for the 18th Senate District. Although she is currently leading, the race remains too close to call.

Tyler Voigt, AFP-NC State Director, commented on the election outcomes: “Thanks to AFP-NC’s hardworking staff and volunteers, the Old North State has the policy majority it needs to build on the tremendous momentum we’ve seen over the last session. This team has knocked on over 100,000 doors to ensure we have the right leaders in Raleigh. With these policy champions looking out for North Carolinians, we’re ready to get to work expanding education freedom, repealing outdated health regulations that reduce access to healthcare in rural communities, and ensuring that North Carolina remains competitive and attractive to businesses and families.”

This year marked a significant milestone as AFP and AFP Action engaged in 647 races nationwide, including seven critical U.S. Senate races and 44 U.S. House races. Their grassroots efforts reached over 19.5 million voters across the country—a record in their 20-year history. The involvement of AFP Action in federal races is crucial for promoting candidates who support favorable policies in Washington while continuing their commitment at state legislative levels.
