Beth Phelps has been named the December 2024 Classified Employee of the Month. The award recognizes outstanding performance among classified staff, with Phelps being acknowledged for her role as a Safety Representative. She was nominated by Carey Sedlacek.
"Beth consistently demonstrates the Five Guiding Principles for Service Excellence," said Sedlacek.
The recognition comes with several benefits, including a $200 reward, a certificate, a plaque, and a designated parking spot. Additionally, Phelps will be recognized across all three campuses.
The award aims to honor exceptional employees who consistently perform at high levels. It is part of the "Rewind & Recognize" initiative that highlights past winners from 2023 who may not have received full acknowledgment for their contributions. The Classified Council emphasizes gratitude and appreciation to foster a positive work culture.
