The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is set to introduce a new online service called Turbo Titles at its Elko and Sahara Las Vegas offices on January 13, 2025. This initiative, part of the Department Transformation Effort (DTE), aims to expedite the process for applying for new and duplicate titles for eligible Nevada residents.
Public Information Officer Paolo David stated, "The Nevada DMV processes about 285,000 standard titles a year. Turbo Titles will speed up the titling process for our customers, which will provide greater convenience to our community."
Eligible customers can upload their documents remotely through a DriveNV portal and fast-track their initial visit to a DMV office. However, as Public Information Officer Hailey Foster explained, "Our Turbo Titles release is very similar to our last release, Rapid Registration, which means it is the very first phase of this service. Customers will still need to make an appointment to pay and verify the title documentation they submitted."
After completing payment, the title will be mailed to the address provided by the customer. If there is a lienholder on the title, they will receive either a paper or electronic title based on the information given to the DMV.
