The Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation, along with the Advisory Board on Outdoor Recreation (ABOR), has announced the recipients of its second annual grant cycle for the Outdoor Education and Recreation Grant Program. This year, 21 projects have been selected to receive a total of $250,345.24 in funding. The selection was made from 57 applications requesting nearly $1.2 million.

The awarded grants include nine microgrants of $7,500 or less and twelve Tier II grants of up to $25,000 each. The supported programs cover a wide range of activities, including urban beekeeping and various camp experiences.

Over the first two years since the program's inception through Assembly Bill 128 during the 2023 legislative session, a total of $500,000 has been allocated to support 45 projects across all 17 counties in Nevada. The initiative aims to enhance youth access to outdoor activities throughout the state.
