Twenty-four students from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) attended the American Rental Association (ARA) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 31. Sponsored by the ARA, this event provided an opportunity for students to network with industry professionals, explore career paths, and gain insights into their fields.

The students, invited by Career Services, came from various programs including Automotive and Diesel Technology, Business, Computer Science, and leadership studies. This marked a significant occasion as it was the department's first time attending such a large-scale trade show.

Faculty members Kevin Krystek and Mike Whitehead accompanied eight Career Services team members to guide students through the event. Representatives from six multi-billion-dollar companies were present and actively recruiting talent. One employer expressed interest in hiring CSN students for a new location opening in the Las Vegas Valley.

Career Services prepared "Ice Breaker Questions" index cards to assist students in initiating conversations with employers. This preparation helped students engage more effectively with industry leaders.

These opportunities underscore CSN's dedication to providing hands-on learning experiences supported by industry connections, equipping students with skills needed for their careers.
