The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) is currently reviewing a recent Dear Colleague Letter from the U.S. Department of Education. The aim is to understand the broader impact on its institutions and stakeholders. NSHE's primary focus remains on fulfilling institutional missions while supporting students, faculty, and staff.

NSHE takes pride in being a majority-minority system that mirrors Nevada's diverse demographic landscape. Its institutions serve students from varied backgrounds, fostering environments where everyone has opportunities for success. "We have always and will always be committed to ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their educational goals regardless of their background," states NSHE.

Under the guidance of the NSHE Strategic Plan: Success by Design, efforts continue to increase access to education, improve student success rates, address workforce needs, and effectively serve Nevada’s communities.

"We appreciate the guidance of the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights as we continue to provide safe and inclusive learning environments for our students and faculty," acknowledges NSHE.
