CSN Women's Alliance hosts resource fair on March 4

The CSN Women's Alliance is organizing a resource fair to mark the beginning of Women's Empowerment Month. The event is scheduled for Monday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the North Las Vegas Campus in the June Whitley Lounge.

This fair aims to connect attendees with essential resources such as mental health support, childcare, housing assistance, job advice, and free period products. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with various organizations and gather information on services available.

Organizations attending include Dress for Success offering professional clothing and job preparation; CSN CAPS providing mental health support for students; and CSN Career Services offering job search help, résumé tips, and career advice. Additional services are provided by CSN Child Lab for childcare needs of students and staff; Help of Southern Nevada focusing on housing and family support; Shannon West Youth Shelter assisting at-risk youth; Project Marilyn distributing free period products; Immigrant Home Foundation providing citizenship and legal aid services; and the Mexican Consulate offering services for Mexican nationals.

The organizers hope that attendees will leave "feeling informed, confident, and ready to take the next step." The event is open to everyone without charge.
