In March, the Nevada Division of Water Resources will conduct measurements of groundwater levels in irrigation and stock water wells across various regions in the state. This initiative is part of an annual effort to monitor and assess groundwater levels throughout Nevada.
The data collection involves both newer wells and those that have been measured annually for over 30 years. This long-term data provides valuable insights into changes in groundwater levels over time. The information gathered from these "well runs" is crucial for analyzing trends and supporting effective groundwater management.
