Dr. Stacy S. Klippenstein named new president at College of Southern Nevada

Dr. Stacy S. Klippenstein has been appointed as the 10th president of the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) following a unanimous decision by the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents.

Dr. Klippenstein, who previously served as president of Mohave Community College in Arizona, brings over 20 years of experience in higher education leadership. He expressed his enthusiasm for joining CSN and emphasized his dedication to student success, workforce development, and community engagement.

“I am incredibly honored to be standing in front of you today as the next president of the College of Southern Nevada,” said Dr. Klippenstein during his appointment.

His career has been marked by a commitment to innovation and collaboration, focusing on equipping students with degrees and workforce-ready skills that benefit their communities. His leadership approach emphasizes visibility, engagement, and fostering opportunities.

Dr. Klippenstein is drawn to CSN’s strong reputation and its significant role in southern Nevada. As he prepares to assume his new role on July 1, he aims to strengthen partnerships, expand student success initiatives, and further CSN’s mission of transforming lives through education.

Originally from Montana, Dr. Klippenstein holds a doctorate in higher education leadership. In his personal life, he enjoys outdoor activities, golfing, and traveling with his wife. He looks forward to becoming part of the CSN community with his family.
