The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Gender and Sexuality Affinity Group is providing an opportunity for faculty to enhance their support for LGBTQIA+ students. From April 21-25, 2025, CSN will offer a one-week asynchronous Safe Zone Ally Training. This training aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, strategies, and resources to promote a more inclusive learning environment.

The training will be hosted on Canvas, allowing faculty members to engage with LGBTQIA+ topics at their own pace through interactive modules and discussions. Upon completion, participants will receive both a digital Safe Zone Ally badge and a physical badge for their office as recognition of their commitment to fostering a welcoming campus.

Details of the training are as follows: it will take place from Monday, April 21 to Friday, April 25, 2025, on the Canvas platform. The capacity is limited to 20 participants. Faculty interested in participating should sign up by Friday, April 18, 2025.

Space is limited to the first 20 faculty members who register. Those interested are encouraged to sign up soon.
