Western Nevada College Foundation has announced the appointment of two new members to its board. Cliff Sorensen from Campagni Auto Group and Amber Kellner from Harley-Davidson Financial Services have joined the Foundation's board, which now consists of 25 members.
Sorensen brings a wealth of experience, having served as president of various organizations including the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada. He was recognized as the Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year in 2023 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Boys & Girls Club in 2024. “I’m honored to share my previous professional and personal lifetime experiences to help create a furtherance of Foundation goals and objectives,” Sorensen stated.
Kellner is involved with HDFS’s Eaglemark Savings Bank board and serves as vice president of finance for Kappa Alpha Thetas Alumni Chapter. She expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “As a lifelong member of the community, I am looking for opportunities to give back. I grew up in Carson and I am excited to tangibly invest in the WNC Foundation. I am looking forward to supporting students in the Carson City area.”
The WNC Foundation is dedicated to developing resources that support Western Nevada College by fostering community partnerships, encouraging philanthropy, and strengthening ties between the college and its community.
