Mitchell Hicks has been honored as the April Classified Employee of the Month at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). Hicks, serving as an Administrative Assistant II within the ECE Lab Program at the North Las Vegas campus, was nominated by Lanora Gallo.
Gallo praised Hicks for his dedication, stating: “Mitchell’s selfless actions, positive demeanor, and unwavering commitment to the College of Southern Nevada make him an invaluable asset to the institution. He consistently embodies CSN’s mission statement, empowering both students and the community to achieve, succeed, and prosper. He shows these values in his everyday actions with children, families, staff, the CSN community and the general public. He is guiding our next generation of students to be successful in the years to come.”
The award acknowledges Hicks with $200, a certificate, a plaque, a designated parking spot, and recognition across CSN's three campuses. The recognition aims to honor those classified employees who stand out for their high performance.
The "Rewind & Recognize" initiative also seeks to honor past awardees from 2023 by giving overdue recognition, promoting a culture of appreciation within the community.
