In an effort to highlight the outstanding contributions of its administrative team, the College of Southern Nevada has announced Chante Derella as the April 2025 Administrative Faculty Assembly (AFA) Employee of the Month. Derella serves as an Academic Advisor at the institution.
According to an anonymous nominator, "Chanté goes above and beyond in their role, providing not only academic guidance but also mentorship and personal support that significantly impact students' success." These attributes demonstrate the crucial role of advisors in fostering a supportive educational environment.
The AFA is also continuing its tradition of recognizing the invaluable efforts of its faculty by seeking nominations for the May 2025 Employee of the Month award. Nominations are open to administrative and professional faculty who have made noteworthy contributions. Forms can be submitted online and are due by the 15th of each month.
