Western Nevada College has announced its upcoming commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2025, scheduled for May. Two separate events will be held to honor the graduates in Carson City and Fallon.
The first ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 19, at Marv Teixeira Pavilion within Mills Park in Carson City. The following ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at Barkley Theatre in Oats Park Arts Center, Fallon.
"Commencement is always my favorite time of year. It’s a celebration of hard work, perseverance, and the deep pride our students and their families feel in reaching this milestone,” remarked WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe, who will present to congratulate the graduates.
WNC Foundation Board Trustee Lupe Ramirez has been selected to deliver the commencement address at both ceremonies. A graduate of WNC, Ramirez is noted for founding the Latino Cohort and Latino Leadership Academy. She is currently serving as the president of the Carson City School District Board of Trustees after her 32-year career in higher education.
