Engines got underway at the College of Southern Nevada North Las Vegas Campus as three Shelby cars caught the attention of students from the Automotive Technology program. Courtesy of the Shelby American operations crew, the cars were brought in for students to perceive what it takes to build these high-performance machines.

More than fifty students congregated around the vehicles, tuning into insights shared by Shelby Vice President of Operations, Vince Laviolette. Dominick Nettles, enrolled in the Master Automotive Technology program, remarked on the value of hands-on experiences, stating, "This is the kind of hands-on face-to-face opportunity you just don’t get every day."

The collaboration between CSN and Shelby American extends beyond car showcases. The car manufacturer has provided $25,000 in scholarships annually to ten dedicated students for two years. A recipient, Avery Rivers, shared how this scholarship eased his financial burdens, allowing him to focus on his studies. "Money was tight," Rivers acknowledged.

The event concluded with photos and the revving of engines, reinforcing the message that CSN’s Auto Tech students are on a path to influence the automotive industry's future.
