CSN commemorates achievements of its student-athletes at annual banquet

Last Monday, the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Athletics Department hosted its ninth annual Student-Athlete Banquet at the Charleston Campus. The event celebrated the achievements of CSN student-athletes over the past year.

Chaz McNelis from the baseball team and Saroiya “Cici” Ajomale from the women’s basketball team were honored as Athletes of the Year. Coach Nick Garritano received recognition with the “Dexter Irvin” Coach of the Year Award.

The Cross Country team was also acknowledged for completing 1,642 community service hours, contributing to the CSN Athletics Department's total of 4,924 hours this year.

Athletic Trainer Brett Taylor and ASCSN member Janeth Vences-Balvas were recipients of the Coyote Spirit Awards, highlighting their dedication to the college community.

The banquet was an expression of Coyote pride in the academic and athletic accomplishments of its athletes.
