Western Nevada College (WNC) is set to honor a record-tying 168 graduates from its Jump Start program. The ceremonies will take place on May 19 in Carson City and May 21 in Fallon. This marks the second consecutive year that WNC has reached this milestone.

The Jump Start program, initiated in 2013, offers high school students in Nevada the chance to earn up to an associate degree before completing their high school education. This year's graduates come from ten high schools, three academies, and include homeschool students.

Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe, President of WNC, expressed his congratulations: “Congratulations to the 168 students in our Jump Start program — matching a record for WNC — and to their families for this outstanding accomplishment.” He added that these students are "an essential part of the WNC community," emphasizing the college's commitment to providing early college opportunities.

The list of graduates includes students from various educational institutions such as Carson High School, Churchill County High School, Dayton High School, Douglas High School, Fernley High School, Mater Academy, Mineral County High School, Nevada Virtual Academy, Oasis Academy, Silver Stage High School, Smith Valley High School, Virginia City High School, and Yerington High School.
