Larry Pilon has been named June's Classified Employee of the Month. Pilon, an NSHE Specialist with the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at the Charleston Campus, was nominated by Kimiko Walton.
Walton praised Pilon, stating: “Larry’s unwavering devotion demonstrates excellent moral fiber and character. His positive nature along with his strong motivation and sense of direction has taken him far.”
The recipient of this award receives $200, a certificate, a plaque, a designated parking spot, and recognition across all three campuses. The award aims to acknowledge exceptional classified employees who excel in their roles.
The "Rewind & Recognize" initiative honors those previously awarded the Classified Employee of the Month title in 2023 but may not have received full acknowledgment for their efforts. The Classified Council emphasizes the importance of showing gratitude and promoting a culture of appreciation as they move forward. By implementing this initiative, they aim to enhance their community and ensure every classified employee feels valued for their contributions.
