Willene Wadkins, an Administrative Assistant III at the North Las Vegas Campus, has been named the Classified Employee of the Month for July 2025. Deanna Irby praised Wadkins, stating, "Willene constantly is ready to serve all students with attentive attitude, happy to work, and happy to find solutions to any problems. They have a wealth of knowledge and are happy to share information with anyone—staff and students included—in need."
The recognition comes with a $200 award, a certificate, a plaque, a designated parking spot, and acknowledgment across all three campuses. This award aims to honor exceptional classified employees who excel in their roles.
Additionally, the "Rewind & Recognize" initiative highlights efforts of workers previously awarded the CEOM title in 2023 but may not have received adequate recognition. The Classified Council emphasizes gratitude and commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation. The initiative seeks to ensure every classified employee feels valued for their unique contributions.
