United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has announced the start of its Operation Back to School Drive. This initiative, running from July 14 through August 4, aims to collect essential school supplies for students in need.
The items accepted for donation include backpacks, crayons, markers, pencils, scissors, notebooks, and folders. "Every student deserves to begin the school year feeling prepared and confident. At United Way of Southern Nevada, we believe success in the classroom starts with the right tools. This drive ensures students have what they need to focus, learn, and thrive," said Samuel Rudd, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada.
Donations can be made at the UWSN office located at 5830 W. Flamingo Rd., Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those unable to shop in person, there is an option to purchase items through United Way of Southern Nevada’s Amazon Wish List. All supplies will be shipped directly to UWSN for distribution.
