Southwest Gas has announced its sponsorship of Western Nevada College Foundation's Reach for the Stars Gala, scheduled for August 2. The company is contributing $5,000 to support the event, which aims to benefit students pursuing careers in fields such as welding and construction management.
The partnership between Southwest Gas and WNC is described as more than financial. Graduates from WNC often find employment with the energy provider after completing their studies. Chris Anderson, Vice President of Southwest Gas’ Northern Nevada Division, emphasized the importance of this relationship: “Southwest Gas is committed to building meaningful relationships and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.”
The gala will focus on raising funds for scholarships and educational programs. Niki Gladys, Executive Director of the WNC Foundation, expressed gratitude for Southwest Gas' involvement: “We are fortunate to have a partner like Southwest Gas that truly believes in our students.”
