Great Basin College's School of Health Sciences and Behavioral Health has announced that its 2025 Associate of Applied Science in Nursing graduates achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX exam. This is the fourth consecutive year that the college has maintained this achievement, establishing itself as a leader in Nevada for preparing nursing students.
The college reports that over 80 percent of its nursing graduates work in rural communities, with more than 90 percent remaining within Nevada. "We are incredibly proud to celebrate our fourth year of a 100% NCLEX pass rate," said Staci Warnert, Dean of Health Sciences and Behavioral Health. She attributes this success to the dedication of students and faculty, as well as the strength of GBC's curriculum.
This year also saw the first graduates from GBC's new Paramedic/LPN Bridge pathway, which allows students with prior healthcare experience to enter the program in their second year. Five students from this pathway contributed to the perfect pass rate.
GBC emphasizes its local and affordable education model, highlighting small class sizes and a low student-to-faculty ratio as key factors in providing an effective learning environment for nursing students.
