The Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation (NDOR) has announced that grant funding is now available to support programs connecting youth across the state with outdoor activities. The NOER grant program, which received $250,000 in 2024, enabled nearly 11,000 young people to spend over 25,000 hours outdoors through various projects.

In 2025, the program will fund 23 different initiatives aimed at providing opportunities such as birdwatching field trips, backpacking camps, ski and snowboard lessons, and urban beekeeping education.

Applications for the next round of grants are due by October 3, 2025. NDOR staff will be available in August to review applications and offer feedback to help applicants improve their submissions. Applications will be evaluated by both NDOR and the Advisory Board on Outdoor Recreation. Award announcements are expected to begin in December 2025.

More information about the grant program and application process can be found at https://ndor.nv.gov/noer-grants. For questions or additional details, Kendal Scott can be contacted at 775-684-2731 or k.scott@ndor.nv.gov.
