Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford addressed the Congressional Litigation Task Force on ongoing legal challenges against actions taken by the Trump administration. The presentation took place as part of the task force’s efforts to coordinate responses among House Democrats regarding what they describe as unconstitutional and unlawful activities by the former administration.
“I was proud to present the hard work that my colleagues and I have done to ensure Nevadans and Americans across the country do not have their rights infringed upon by this administration," said AG Ford. "I will continue to stand against any unconstitutional and illegal efforts by this administration, and I am proud to have allies both in Washington and across the nation that will stand with us in this effort. My job is to protect Nevadans from those that would do them harm, and I do not take this job lightly."
Since taking office, Attorney General Ford has led Nevada in joining 28 lawsuits challenging a range of federal actions under the Trump administration. These include litigation over attempts to change birthright citizenship policy, dismantle AmeriCorps, permit DOGE access to sensitive personal data, and withhold federal funding based on immigration data compliance.
The Congressional Litigation Task Force was formed in February 2025. It is chaired by Assistant Democratic Leader Joe Neguse of Colorado, with co-chairs including Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut (Appropriations Committee Ranking Member), Rep. Robert Garcia of California (Oversight Committee Ranking Member), and Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland (Judiciary Committee Ranking Member). The group comprises 45 House Democrats.
